Quality Assurance/Risk Management Coordinator
Employment Opportunity: The PA Department of Military and Veterans Affairs has one opening for a Quality Assurance/Risk Management Coordinator at Gino J. Merli Veterans Center, which is in Lackawanna County.
Nature of Work: You will work in a long-term care facility, monitoring and evaluating the appropriateness and quality of resident care. You will interpret regulations, prepare for licensing surveys, participate in the development and improvement of a quality assurance program, chair the quality assurance/risk management committee and develop reports. You also will provide guidance and technical assistance to interdisciplinary clinical and non-clinical staff.
In order to be considered, applicants must be PA residents, and meet the following requirements: One year as a Quality Assurance/Risk Management Specialist; OR three years of professional experience as a member of a multiple disciplinary treatment team in a public or private health care facility, and a bachelor’s degree; OR three years of clinical experience in a human services agency, including two years of administrative, evaluative, consultative, or supervisory work in a health care program, and a bachelor’s degree with major coursework in social work, nursing, healthcare administration, behavioral sciences, or a related field; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training. Nursing and/or long-term care experience is preferred, but not required.
Starting Salary: $51,443 annually with an excellent benefits package!
